For Women have dieted for too long, over-exercised, done lots of fitness programs, have lost weight and gained it back, and have no idea what that might be getting wrong and are almost on the verge of giving up.
I was in that stage too. I had tried to look at my body positively for so long; I had dieted and overexercised, but all that didn’t change how I saw my body. You see, I always saw my body as never enough; there was always something I needed to fix, something wrong. I would lose some weight and feel I need to fix my stomach. I would build muscle and feel I need to gain a little fat. That was when I realized something about my approach to my body image had to change and how I approached fitness.
Fitness is not about perfection. It’s about exploring what feels good and doing more of that, listening to your body after each food and exercise. And that’s what I want women to know who are struggling with their own fitness journey.
So if you’re struggling, take a look at what you have done in the past, what worked, when did it stop working, when did you start regaining the weight you have lost. Now using that information, study your food intake and exercise routine for the next three days; how do you feel? Are you always hungry? Do you feel tired or energized? These data will help you examine what you might be doing right or what you must have done wrong.
And then go towards what feels good the most — the food that feels good and the movement that feels good the most — and work longterm for your fitness goals.
